Who Is "Kira" Behind Edison Scandal

It seems like no one knows what the real intention of Kira is behind his biggest scandal ever to hit Hong Kong. Speculation of extortion and revenge against Edison Chen/Albert Yeung (EEG boss) has been mooted but not confirmed.

There was new speculation that “Kira” is a group of three who actually got hold of the photos and videos last year and had tried to extort money from Edison Chen. Edison Chen told Albert Yeung about it and through some ways, both of them set a trap and managed to ensnare one of them. The other two however got away and are believed to have escaped to Thailand and Indonesia and continued to extort money from them.

They continued negotiations but it never worked out as they kept jacking up the prices with every additional day. “Kira” is now biding his time and has even more shocking material that has yet to see daylight because they are his bargaining chips. Bobo Chan’s pictures plus those of Gillian, Cecilia were just sacrificial lambs (so that is so cruel. Why they ruin innocent lives??There is something called retribution!!). Vincy Yeung’s photos was to shock EEG and Albert Yeung that they are not to be taken lightly. “Kira” is just slowly posting the pictures to cover his tracks and increase his bargaining chips.

“Kira” promised a video and 600 pictures on the first day of Chinese New Year. It has been three days since then and we have no video. Pictures though have been released in batches like episodes from a soap opera.

Yesterday, belonged to Bobo Chan as about 71 pictures of never seen before photos was leaked onto the internet. In one of the photos, we can clearly see part of Edison’s face who is clearly taking the picture. This followed the day before where Gillian and Cecilia had more photos of themselves released.

Edison’s present girlfriend, Vincy Yeung was not spared from this as three photos of her coming out from the showers was leaked on the internet. One photo shows her showering, another sees her looking towards the camera, all indicating that she knows she was being photographed in the buff.

Edison has been edited away from his Stephen Chow movie which will be re-filmed while Manhattan Titanium, a credit card company has pulled advertisements of him endorsing the card. Rumours abound that Edison Chen left Hong Kong immediately because he knew Vincy photo’s would be leaked sooner or later. Albert Yeung, Vincy’s uncle, is reportedly furious with Edison as he dotes on her very much. Report say that Edison is extremely depressed over this and has not eaten nor step out of his house for the past few days.

Gillian meanwhile will be making her first public appearance at an annual Twin’s fans event and make public statement.

The latest batch of Cecilia’s photos showed that when the photos was taken, she was likely to be dating both Nicholas Tse and Edison Chen at the same time! But she chose Nicholas Tse in the end over Edison possibly because Nicholas made her pregnant first? But their marriage is believed to be at breaking point with a furious Nicholas comtemplating divorce since recent photos showed that he did not have his wedding ring on.

300 people will hold a demonstration this afternoon at 1pm in Hong Kong to protest against the police handling of the case which is leaned towards protecting the celebrities and using the common folk as sacrificial lambs.

The Hong Kong police meanwhile are expressing that they have difficulty policing and catching “Kira” because of the advanced technology that’s being used to spread the photos. The police are coming up against a brickwall because netizens are spreading the photos through email and this intrudes on privacy if the police investigates it. In addition, the photos seemed to be posted first overseas and it’s hard to track them down if they are using foreign emails and wireless connections. Plus, there are many IP masking tools available too. The Hong Kong media believes that the matter has gotten out of control.
