The picture above shows several Health workers wearing personal protective suit enter into the sealed-off Hanglu Hotel upon confirmed case of a Chinese man with influenza A (H1N1) in Beijing on May 11, 2009.

Warning! The true number of swine flu virus might be underestimated although most appear mild and no more lethal than seasonal flu. According to Reuters, the worldwide horrible mutated strain of H1N1 swine flu has increased to immense number as at 4,300 cases. It is now spreading to China and it has killed a 3rd infected man in United States.

In light of the third flu case reported, China authorities are now searching for 150 passengers who took the same flights with the 30-year-old patient to be quarantined for the sake of pandemic healthy. The man has travelled Tokyo to Beijing and then from Beijing to Sichuan. The authorities are suggesting the rest of the foreign nationals on those flights to have quarantine measures to prevent spreading of the disease if there is any.

To date, there are 4 cases of swine flu disease confirmed in Japan. Those affected had traveled to Canada on the same high school trip. First Death In Costa Rica Of A Man Suffered From H1N1 (Swine Flu) Is Finally Reported

While infectious record of H1N1 virus are under control, Health Minister from Costa Rica announces the first death of a 53-year-old man who died on Saturday due to disease which formerly called as swine flu. This is the fourth country that reports a death from the virus. To date, there are more than 4200 people around the world have connected and infected by the same strain of virus which contains combination strain of human, bird and swine. It has killed 48 people in Mexio, 2 in U.S and 1 in Canada.

From the view of point of mine, the man's death is consider as expected as older people with diabetes and asthma would hardly survive from this virus. However, an autopsy will eventually determine if his death was triggered by flu or complications of his other illnesses.

Earth Hour 2009: Nice Video Clip

Thanks for the great job in compiling this significant event supported by entire globe aims at saving the Earth. This is a symbolic sign of union. However, in terms of saving, there is something else for human to take part in such as stop slaughtering the whales, dolphins, crocodiles, and other wild animals. Perhaps North Korea should immediately halt the testing of nuclear weapon testing and missiles. Any other suggestions for the great human to consider for saving the Earth before it is too late? Hand Foot Mouth Disease In China Has Killed 3 Children

It's been quite a while that the above-mentioned disease exists especially in China since early October in the city of Jianou in Fujian province, and the latest update has showed three children amongst 113 people who have been sickened in southeastern China with the disease were killed.

The disease, which is common in China, took an unusually high toll in the first few months of the year, infecting nearly 25,000 people nationwide and killing 34, according to government figures.
Symptoms:
Fever and sores
Fatal for low immunity group of children

It's really sickening and upset to have seen this happens ever after the Si Cuan earthquake, china milk with melanine and now the HFM disease. The most horrible part is that the cases were covered and made unrevealed ever since the first case emerged in large numbers in eastern China few months ago. Thus, the case has turned up to spread and worsen the case as more and more children are getting the infection.

Aren't they too selfish? For not revealing facts and perhaps for not affect the olympic games in China by the news.

Marked Increase Of Cases Links To Salmobnella-Tainted Tomatoes

This could be a bad news for you if you are a tomato lover! There has been reported for people fallen ill after eating tainted tomatoes caused by salmonella bacteria where the first outbreak was discovered in April. The reported number of people however has now increased to nearly 400 cases in 30 over states. The ages of the patients ranges from under 1 to 88 years old, and 47 percent of them are female.

McDonald's Corp., the world's largest hamburger chain, stopped serving sliced tomatoes on its sandwiches as a precaution until the source of the salmonella is known. McDonald's will continue serving grape tomatoes in its salads because no problems have been linked to that variety.

The FDA is investigating the source of the outbreak and the outbreak was linked to certain varieties of raw tomatoes including red plum, red Roma and red round.

Watch out!! The outbreak is not over yet. How is the source linked to the tomato? Perhaps from the contaminated soil or water or watever it is. Therefore, there is something everyone of us should do such as eat the cooked tomato if you really have to eat tomato during this critical period. Salmonella bacteria will cause terrible illness for good immune system of middle age adult but for elderly and infants it could be lethal.

Warning for the below tomatoes especially raw product:
1. Round Red Tomatoes
2. Roma Tomatoes
3. Plum Tomatoes

Relatively safe tomatoes are:
1. Cherry Tomatoes
2. Grape Tomatoes
3. Tomatoes with the vine attached
4. Home-grown tomatoes

Tearless Onions A Step Closer

This special "tearless" onion could become the household and industry norm within the next decade if the research progressed well. Dr Eady and collaborators in Japan have been conducting lab tests to dry up the agent in onions which caused the tear. In this research, gene-silencing technology has been used to switch off the enzyme that is responsible for the "crying" compound when an onion is crushed.

The question is whether the tearless onion is still tasteful as its origin after genetically modified? If it loses a bit of the onion taste which it supposes to have, i think that is not an onion anymore. LOL.

China - AIDS Originated By 146 Drug Abusers

The research of China Disease Prevention and Control Center(CDPCC) shows the origin of AIDS in China should be traced to the 146 drug abusers found in Yunnan Province in 1989.

The research was meant to find the subtype of the virus, and most of the virus found on HIV-infected drug abusers belonged to the same subtype that originated from Thailand, which were found on the 146 drug abusers mentioned above.

The virus found on HIV-infected gays had a lot in common with the virus found on their counterparts in Western countries.

Losing Weight - By Taking Apple Cider Vinegar

I found a great explanation of how apple cider vinegar works to reduce weight comes from the following web page:

"Just one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water at meals can change your life completely. "

Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid which stimulates the production of stomach acid. The more stomach acid the better to breakdown your food into smaller molecules which helps efficiently for your intestines and liver to absorb the nutrients.

In the old days the stomach produces acid all day long to be ready for meal time. But these days when the body is stressed the stomach stops producing acid so at meal time there's not enough acid to digest the food. This creates all kinds of problems; indigestion, gastric reflux, IBS, bad breath, diverticulus, fatty liver, lactose intolerance, allergies, fatigue, you name it.
