Music & Lyrics Romantic Comedy Movie - Trailer & Music Video

I love this movie very much. It is a romantic comedy musical english movie directed by Marc D. Lawrence. Starring: Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore

Alex Fletcher is a washed-up '80s pop star who's been reduced to working the nostalgia circuit at county fairs and amusement parks. The charismatic and talented musician gets a chance at a comeback when reigning diva Cora Corman invites him to write and record a duet with her, but there's a problem--Alex hasn't written a song in years, he's never written lyrics, and he has to come up with a hit in a matter of days. Enter Sophie Fisher, Alex's beguilingly quirky plant lady, whose flair for words strikes a chord with the struggling songwriter. On the rebound from a bad relationship, Sophie is reluctant to collaborate with anyone, especially commitment-phobe Alex. As their chemistry heats up at the piano and under it, Alex and Sophie will have to face their fears--and the music--if they want to find the love and success they both deserve. Source

Music & Lyrics Movie Trailer

This is one of the hit songs - Way back Into Love - in the movie. Soothing and inspiring.

Lyrics

I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past I just can't seem to move on

I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need them again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh

I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but i just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere

I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end

Oh oh oh

There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

Find Your Way Here? God Will Make A Way

Accidentally love this song so much..God Will Make A Way! I always believe good things should be shared.

Lyrics

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me

He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength
For each new day
He will make a way
He will make a way

By a roadway in the wilderness
He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade
But His Word will still remain
He will do something new today

Jordin Sparks - Tattoo Music Video

Jordin Sparks performing Tattoo on Times Square!! I love this song so much.. meaningful lyrics for girl's encouragement.

Lyrics
Oh, oh, oh
No matter what you say about love
I keep coming back for more
Keep my hand in the fire
Sooner or later, I'll get what I'm asking for

No matter what you say about life
I learn every time I bleed
That truth is a stranger
Soul is in danger, I gotta let my spirit be free

To admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I have to move on
And leave you behind

[Chorus]
I can't waste time so give it a moment
I realize, nothing's broken
No need to worry 'bout everything I've done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don't look back got a new direction
I loved you once, needed protection
You're still a part of everything I do
You're on my heart just like a tattoo

(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
[Tattoo lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

I'll always have you, I'll always have you)

I'm sick of playing all of these games
It's not about taking sides
When I looked in the mirror, didn't deliver
It hurt enough to think that I could

Stop, admit that I'm wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I gotta be strong
And leave you behind

[Chorus]
(Just like a tattoo, I'll always have you
I'll always have you)

[Bridge]
If I live every moment
Won't change any moment
Still a part of me and you
I will never regret you
Still the memory of you
Marks everything i do

[Chorus x2]
Just like a tattoo
I'll always have you

Horton 2008 Movie Trailer

Horton Hears A Who! is American computer-generated imagery (CGI) movie, based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name and the fourth feature film from Blue Sky Studios. It is the first Dr. Seuss adaptation fully animated using CGI technology. The film is rated "G" by the Motion Picture Association of America

Synopsis

On the remote leaf of a chestnut tree, the morning dew comes together in a tiny drop of water, which falls onto a chestnut. The chestnut falls and rolls along the tree trunk, through a field of dandelions, and into a small crevice. In the path of the rolling chestnut is a yellow daisy, on which is a speck of dust. As the chestnut hits the daisy, the speck goes flying through the air, carrying the miniscule world of Whoville with it.

In the Jungle of Nool, Horton the Elephant hears a small noise, just a very faint yelp as if some tiny person were calling for help. He sees only a small speck of dust floating past through the air. He thinks that there must be one or more people on that speck. He wants to save them because "a person's a person, no matter how small". He catches it and places it on a very soft clover.

Horton talks with Ned, who is one of many very small people living in the town Who-ville on the speck; he is the mayor. Ned uses a sounding horn so that Horton can hear him. The people of Who-ville were not aware they are on a speck on a clover; Horton convinces Ned by demonstrating that he can put the speck into and out of the shade. Also, when the speck is put in a smelly place this can be observed, and shocks can be felt as earthquakes. Ned and his wife Sally have 96 daughters, and one son, Jojo, who does not say much.

Ned is concerned about the safety of the town and tries to postpone the Who Centennial, but this is rejected by the Council. Horton and Ned agree that Horton has to find a safe place for the speck, and Horton plans to put it in a cave at the top of Mt. Nool.

In the meantime, Horton's enthusiastic students have adopted the beliefs that there are other worlds beyond their jungle habitat, and have now "found" worlds of their own. Sour Kangaroo (the type who’s convinced she knows better than you) does not believe Horton. She made every law and enforced every rule as self-proclaimed Head of the Jungle of Nool. She orders Horton to hand over the clover so she may destroy it. Horton refuses.

Kangaroo enlists the services of eagle hit man Vlad Vladikoff, though she only does this by pretending to go to the Wickershams, a similarly gangish group of simians led by their hot-tempered boss Yummo. As Horton endeavors to stop Vlad from attacking the speck, the Mayor decides now is the time to inform the Whos of Horton's existence. Though this is a failed attempt at first, the Whos are finally convinced when a huge earthquake hits as a result of Vlad dropping the clover somewhere in a great patch of clover one hundred miles wide. Though it is a very distressingly painstaking effort, Horton finds the speck at last. When initially there is no response upon his discovery of the right clover, Horton tearfully fears the inhabitants have died, but this is proven otherwise. Now Horton's resolve for the city's safety strengthens even more, though future trouble is on the horizon.

Just as Vlad informs Kangaroo of his deed, Mrs. Quilligan, a jungle citizen, informs Kangaroo that Horton still has the clover. Kangaroo is now enraged, and falsely testifies to the people that Horton is the cause of a chaos that has swept their jungle, and "for the children", they must destroy his speck. The quaint people quickly evolve into an angry mob, who chase down Horton, trapping him. Kangaroo mockingly offers Horton an ultimatum: admit he was wrong and be spared, or refuse and be caged, treated like a slave. Horton boldly refuses, and explains to the people that Whoville does indeed exist. Though his speech is indeed powerful, Kangaroo orders his arrest. She orders the clover to be dropped in a boiling pot of beezelnut oil. What then results is a full-fledged effort by Whoville, by way of loud instruments and by their own powerful voices, to prove their existence. At first the noises prove too weak to be heard outside of their small world. Also, the Mayor finds Jojo, and learns of his incredible music talent and that he has created an enormous music machine in the observatory, but the additional noise by Jojo's machine is still not enough. So at the Mayor's office, Jojo takes the sounding horn his father was using to communicate with Horton, rushes to the roof and sounds off with it. Just before Kangaroo's dropping of the clover meets the stew, Rudy, Kangaroo's son, saves it, having heard Jojo's sound as the final contribution necessary to allow the Who's to be heard. At that event, Rudy firmly supports Horton's assertion about the existence of the Who's with this evidence. Kangaroo tries to rally the jungle folk into taking the speck after Rudy refuses to return it to her, but the truth is now revealed and everyone reproaches her for the atrocity she almost made them do.

Rudy hands the clover to Horton. Horton and the Mayor share a moment of happiness along with the rest of the jungle folk, which is emphasized by the arrival of the "bunny" Vlad, who hands Horton a cookie. Kangaroo is visibly humiliated and shameful, but Horton shows his forgiveness by handing her his cookie. In return, a grateful and humbled Kangaroo holds up an umbrella to shelter the speck for the journey, and after everyone, including Jojo, sings a rendition of "Can't Fight This Feeling", the crowd, led by Horton, Kangaroo, and Rudy, head towards Mt. Nool to place the speck where it belongs. The camera then pans out to show that the jungle of Nool is, like Whoville, floating among many other worlds out in space.

Oscar-Winning Director Defends For Tang Wei Over Blacklisted Ad

Ang Lee defends for Chinese actress Tang Wei who has been blacklisted for her advertisement due to her suggestive sex scene with Tony Leung in Oscar-winning director's film "Lust, Caution". Her advertisements have been blacklisted and banned in China including her skin care commercials for cosmetics brand Pond's.

From Yahoo,

China's State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT) demanded local stations cease airing ads starring Tang.

Local media have linked the order to 28-year-old Tang's debut performance in the Chinese-language World War Two drama "Lust, Caution" which features lengthy and sometimes violent sex scenes with Hong Kong co-star Tony Leung.

Taiwanese-born Lee, who accepted cuts to "Lust" for it to be screened in China last year, had contacted Tang Wei to "console her," the Beijing News said, citing the director's assistant, Li Liangshan.

"I am very regretful that Tang Wei has been hurt by this decision," the paper quoted Lee as saying in a statement.

"She gave a great performance in this properly produced and distributed film. I will do everything I can to support her in this difficult time," Lee said.

Tang's deal with Pond's is reportedly worth 6 million yuan ($845,000).

Calls placed by Reuters seeking comment from the China office of Unilever, which owns the Pond's brand, went unanswered.

"Lust," which won the Golden Lion for best film at last year's Venice film festival, has proved controversial in China, from movie-goers miffed at being unable to see the full version of the film at local cinemas, to critics angered at its anti-patriotic content.

Tang plays a student activist who seduces a Japanese-allied Chinese spy during Japan's World War Two occupation of Shanghai with a view to killing him, but ultimately confesses to the plot.

SARFT last week issued detailed rules banning content in movies harming "social morality" and ordered censors to clip "vulgar" sexual content and other movie scenes that "distort Chinese culture and history."

SARFT officials contacted by Reuters by phone said they were unable to comment and requested a fax.

China has moved to crack down on broadcasters, Internet sites and print media from showing sexually explicit content and urged more wholesome programs, especially in the year Beijing holds the Summer Olympics.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre Identified As Kristen Linked To Eliot Spitzer Prostitution Scandal

The New York Times has reported Ashley Youmans who is now known as Ashley Alexandra Dupre identified in court documents as Kristen. The high-priced prostitute who met with Eliot Spitzer at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington on February 13. She made appearance in U.S. Magistrate Court and she told Times that she's mostly gone without sleep since the case became public.

Spitzer has made public apology statement and has announced his stepping down as a governor of New York. Dupre has not been charged with any crime anyway.

Pick from CNN,

Dupre writes that she left home and "a broken family" at 17.

"Left and learned what it was like to have everything, and lose it, again and again," Dupre says.

"Learned what it was like to wake up one day and have the people you care about most gone. I have been alone. I have abused drugs. I have been broke and homeless. But, I survived, on my own. I am here, in NY because of my music."

In her profile, Dupre says she moved to Manhattan to pursue her music career.

"I am all about my music, and my music is all about me," she writes on her MySpace page. "It flows from what I've been through, what I've seen and how I feel."

The page includes a picture of Dupre with the slogan "what destroys me, strengthens me." It also features a song titled "What we want" recorded by Dupre, with lyrics including "I know what you want, you got what I want, I know what you need, can you handle me?"

On the MySpace page, Dupre lists singers Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Celine Dion, as well as her brother, as her influences.

She also offers some advice for those experiencing hard times.

"I made it. I'm still here and I love who I am. If I never went through the hard times, I would not be able to appreciate the good ones," Dupre writes.

"Cliché, yes, but I know it's true. I have experienced just how hard it can be. I can honestly tell you to never dwell on the past, but build from it and keep moving forward."

Her brother, Kyle Youmans, told CNN he would not comment on the case or how his sister earns money, but he said she is "the best sister you could have."

"I'm sticking by my sister, doing everything so she'll be fine," Youmans said. "She'll make it through."

The family is "holding together" since the Spitzer scandal became public, he added.

Dupre's mother, Carolyn Capalbo, told the Times that she and her daughter were close, adding that "she obviously got involved in something much larger than her."

Why he had to resign? I could still recall what he said during his last statement of "I believe politic is not of individual, but is idea!"

Singapore News: Finger Pointing For The Escape Of Mas Selamat

Ever since the Jemaah Islamiah (JI) leader detainee escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre on 27 Feb 2008, local goverment has been called to respond on the case and urged to find out the ridiculous escape. Now, the Ministry of Home Affairs has promised to give public a full account on the issue and the measure for prevention.

From Straits Time,

A ministry spokesman, responding to a query from The Straits Times which had asked for its reaction to a call from the opposition Workers' Party (WP) chairman for a full public disclosure on the inquiry into the Feb 27 jail breakout, said: 'Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng has stated that after the Committee of Inquiry completes its inquiry, we will give a full account to the public on how Mas Selamat escaped and what has been done to tighten security to prevent such a thing from happening again.'

In a statement issued by its party chairman Sylvia Lim on Tuesday, the WP called for an alternative panel to be set up by the President to look into the escape of terrorist Mas Selamat, who has been on the run for two weeks now.

Instead of the committee that was set up by Minister Wong, the WP has proposed that President S R Nathan appoint a Commission of Inquiry under the Inquiries Act so that investigations 'can proceed in public as the President shall direct'.

Ms Lim, who is a Non-nominated MP, noted that Mr Wong's COI is being set up under the Prisons Act.

This is not wrong, since the Whitley Road Detention Centre is considered a prison under this law, said Ms Lim.

However, she pointed out: 'The Prisons Act states that such inquiries shall not be open to the public. The Committee will submit its report to the Minister, and no part of the proceedings may be released to anyone except with the Minister's written permission.

'This raises important questions as to how much the public will eventually be told, since the Minister retains the discretion to release the findings as he sees fit.'

Somehow, Oppositions are now to be blamed for Mas Selamat's escape!!

"I have an important message for those who blame our esteemed Minister Wong Kan Seng for this incident. I put the blame squarely on the members of the Opposition.", said by Lucky Tan.

According to him;

1. WKS as minister cannot possibly know the detention center that well - you expect minister to inspect every toilet there? You expect the minister to train every guard? He has already apologised and taken responsibility. However, the members of the Opposition are the ones I blame for this mess.

2. A number Opposition members have been detained under the ISA and know this detention center inside out. They probably are familiar with the toilet used by Mas Selamat and the security flaws in the detention center - the redoctrination that purges them of harmful thoughts can temporarily increase the urge to escape. Knowing that the govt was detaining terrorist there, why didn't they point out the possible ways of escape to the govt? ...I don't think the Opposition has any valid reasons for denying responsibility for the escape, many have been detained there over the years and they spend more time there than almost anyone else.

Despite the hairy-leg scene captured at concert in Tokyo over the weekend, i believe Celine Dion is still the famous superstar singer. Her famous song that i like is My Heart Will Go On. AS GOVERNOR: Elected with a historic 69% of the vote, Spitzer's hard-charging ways quickly put him at odds with the powerful Republican leader of the state Senate and his agenda stalled amid political scandal and polls that showed most New Yorkers would not vote for him again as governor. Two aides were disciplined for using the state police to track the movements of Spitzer's chief political rival.

He was able to push through moderate reforms on the budget, ethics and workers compensation but one of his signature efforts, campaign finance, languished.

QUOTE: "I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public, who I promised better. I do not believe that politics in the long run is about individuals. It is about ideas, the public good and doing what is best for the state of New York. But I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself. I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."

BYRD: If they love a song, they're going to do it. Sometimes it changes their mind: ''Oh, I don't want to do what somebody else did. I want to do my own thing.'' Blake [Lewis] was like that. Gina Glocksen was like that.

2. But, for example, Asia'h Epperson's final song, ''I Wanna Dance With Somebody,'' has been the kiss of death for two other semifinalists.
BYRD: We told her that. And we named the people and [that] they were voted off right after. We said all of that stuff. Always remember, it's their choice. I am just the bearer of news. I just say, ''I have to tell you, it's been done before.''

3. How big is the list of songs the contestants get to choose from?
BYRD: Well, it depends on the genre. It narrows down when there's a theme. I've never counted, but, for instance, [with this week's] songs, [from the Lennon-McCartney songbook], there's only 25 to choose from.

4. So if people choose the same songs, how does it get resolved?
BYRD: Lythgoe and Ken Warwick said [that for] the [semifinal] phase of the competition that we just ended, a guy can pick a song and a female can pick [the same] song, but two guys or two women can't do it on the same day. Now that they've come together, all that's gone. So you've got to figure something else out — flip a coin or draw a name out of a hat.

5. How is Lennon/McCartney week shaking out for the contestants?
BYRD: It's quite interesting for them, because a lot of them don't know those songs. It's hard for a contestant when they know four Beatles songs and all four are taken. I've had that happen. It becomes extra work.

6. Now that four people are gone, did someone say, ''Oooh, now that that person's out, I can grab their song''?
BYRD: I'm sure that'll happen. It happens every week, though: ''I want that song. Oh, but that's my friend, I feel so bad about picking that song, but they're gone, oh, I'll take their song!'' It happens every week.

7. Why were there themes for the semifinals this year? In past seasons it was completely open-ended.
LYTHGOE: Because I think last year we started on a strange footing, where people were choosing songs that they like, and you can't just choose songs that you like. You have to choose songs that you think the public are going to like. I think they're too naïve at that early stage of the competition to realize that. So we said no, we've got to choose songs with melodies, songs that you can perform, or songs that the public might know.

8. Well, when they get to choose songs they like, we do get a good idea of the kind of artist they want to be, right?
LYTHGOE: Yeah, and I think [that's what] the '60s, '70s, and '80s allows you. If you're, say, a country singer, there's an awful lot of good country songs in those 10 years. You've got 10 years of music to choose from. So it's a good way of doing it, I think.

9. Are there any songs that you would like to be able to do but can't?
LYTHGOE: Another of David Archuleta's performances was ''Crazy'' in Hollywood week, the Gnarls Barkley song, which we could never show because we could never get it cleared. He was absolutely brilliant when he did that. And Jason Castro did ''Crazy'' a completely different way, and he was brilliant too. And Asia'h also did ''Crazy'' fabulously.

10. What other theme nights can we expect this season?
LYTHGOE: Well, we've got four mentors. And then after that, there's a lot of good tricks that we've used before. There's music that was written in the year you were born. That's always good for me, because the more I can get people to know the singers, the easier it is to decide if you like them or not. And I love putting their baby photos up, because everybody looks cute as a baby. It's a nice little thing to introduce their family to you.

Malaysia's Election Has Ended; The Drama Has Just Only Started

One of the Opposition Party

Today is the new Malaysian political era after the country-wide election over the ruling parties. Malaysia Prime Minister, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been reported for a call of stepping down.

Apparently, 2008 would be the firts and worst year of electoral performance for the National Front which has lost its 2/3 parliamentary majority to the opposition. This has led National Front to relinquish the control power from 5 of 13 states in Malaysia to the opposition.

From AP source,

The elections hurt not only UMNO, which represents the majority Malays, but also other components of the National Front: the Malaysian Chinese Association and the Malaysian Indian Congress parties, which profess to look after the interests of Chinese and Indian minorities.

Regardless of race, Malaysians blamed Abdullah's administration for racial tensions, income disparities, inflation, rising crime, corruption and the enrichment of the ruling elite

The minorities also complained of discrimination through an affirmative action system that gives Malays preference in jobs, business and education. Besides, Malaysians were incensed by the perceived arrogance of National Front candidates, including Abdullah's son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin, who boasted they would wipe out the opposition.

On the other hand, the opposition, led by former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, organized an effective campaign, promising to build a multiracial, corruption-free society where everybody would be treated equally.

"Anwar organized everything. Anwar provided that unifying factor — go for the common enemy," said Annuar Musa, an UMNO leader.

Malaysians hailed the elections as a victory for democracy in a country that has long been accustomed to semi-authoritarian governments, including the 22-year rule of Mahathir Mohamad, who stepped down in 2003 after hand-picking Abdullah to replace him.

Mahathir, however, turned against Abdullah two years later and became his most bitter critic. On Sunday, Mahathir called for Abdullah's resignation, saying his successor "has destroyed" the National Front.

Mahathir has limited clout now in UMNO but his call was echoed by his son Mukhriz, an active party member.

"The message is clear from the results of the elections," Mukhriz told The Associated Press. "It is a very humbling experience and points to dissatisfaction of the prime minister's leadership."

The massive gains made by the opposition are being seen as a foothold it needs to eventually break the National Front's stranglehold over power and end the virtual one-party rule since independence in 1957.

Destiny’s Child Singer, Kelly Rowland Undergoes Breast Implants

A 27-year-old singer Kelly Rowland from Destiny Child is happily staying together with her new life partner --> Her pair of new upgraded B-cup breasts! She looks really busty compared to previous time after she went under the knife on last October 2007 for the plastic surgery after a long time decision making process from herself.

Rowland says: “I didn’t want to have double Ds and be a little bitty size 2 — that would look nuts! I was sick of not fitting into my tops. There was this one really hot House of Dereon top — I just wanted to fill that out!”

Rowland says that top — designed by Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles — complements her new curves: “I put it on and I looked so good! I’m so happy. I feel complete.”

David Archuleta Is One Of Top Males In American Idol

Lovely David Archuleta can sing very well.

David revealed when he was 11-years-old, he actually met Idol's first-season finalists when he was a studio audience member for the finale. His family ran into the finalists in the hotel lobby, and he even sang for them, which impressed Kelly Clarkson. "It helped me raise my self-esteem," he explained, adding it was "one of the most memorable moments" of his young life... The studio audience went absolutely wild with cheers and screams following David's performance and the judges' comments... Randy asked David why he decided against singing the song's first verse. "I only had time for one verse," answered David. "The third one is actually my favorite and I think it has a great message."... As the broadcast concluded, Ryan thanked Paula and Randy without even mentioning Simon.

Termi-Mesh: Termite Barrier System

Termi-mesh? Made from marine grade stainless steel, with a small aperture that a termite cannot squeeze through. Termites also cannot chew through the material as well. The mesh has been proved of its high durability.

In short, this is a termite barrier system which is environmental friendly and as a prevention for the invasion of termites. However, this is not a solution to eliminate the existing termites infestation.

Malaysia PM's Future Unclear After Poll

BY SEAN YOONG

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysia's prime minister said Sunday he does not intend to quit despite unprecedented electoral losses that gave the opposition control of five states and one-third of the Parliament.

Former longtime leader Mahathir Mohamad called for Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's resignation, saying he had "apparently made the wrong choice" when he hand-picked Abdullah to succeed him in 2003.

"My view is that he has destroyed" the National Front coalition, Mahathir told reporters Sunday. "It's shocking. ... We have now a very weak government, and a weak government in a multiracial country will find great difficulty in running the country."

The National Front coalition has governed Malaysia since its independence from Britain in 1957. Scores of senior coalition officials lost their seats in the federal and state legislatures in Saturday's general elections, the National Front's worst performance ever.

The result reflected a huge protest vote sparked by disillusionment among minority ethnic Chinese and Indians who have long complained about discrimination — particularly an affirmative action system that gives the majority Muslim Malays preference in jobs, business and education. People also were upset over rising prices and crime.

National news agency Bernama quoted the prime minister as saying he does not need to step down because he still has strong support, especially from ruling party leaders.

"I will not resign because there is no pressure," he was quoted as saying. Abdullah added he would be sworn in on Monday at the national palace for a new five-year term.

Abdullah kept away from the public eye following a brief news conference at which he confirmed the National Front had secured a simple majority in the 222-member Parliament.

The National Front won only 140 seats — or 63 percent of the constituencies — losing its two-thirds majority for the first time since 1969 and slumping from its 2004 landslide victory when it won 91 percent of the seats.

Coalition leaders were huddled in meetings Sunday to contemplate their next step, but they sought to show a united stance. Deputy Information Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said "there is no doubt or question at all in the top ranks" that Abdullah should continue to lead the coalition and the country.

"The prime minister has a full mandate. He will appoint a new Cabinet," Ahmad Zahid told The Associated Press. "There is no one person to blame for what happened. We all are taking the collective responsibility."

Dozens of National Front officials gathered at Abdullah's official residence in the administrative capital, Putrajaya, to "express their support for the boss," said Abdullah's spokeswoman, Wan Esuriyanti Wan Ahmad.

Senior government lawmaker Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said the National Front faced "a period of uncertainty such as we have never experienced before."

"This is a historic crisis," he said. "To begin immediately the process of restoring ourselves, the leadership team must wake from its slumber, face the truth and accept full responsibility for this debacle."

Simultaneous ballots for 12 state legislatures culminated in the National Front losing control of the assembly in northern Penang, the only state where ethnic Chinese are a majority. It also lost control of Selangor, Kedah and Perak states for the first time, and failed to wrest Kelantan state back from the opposition.

"This is a defining moment, unprecedented in our nation's history," said opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim. "The people have voted decisively for a new era where the government must be truly inclusive and recognize that all Malaysians, regardless of race and color, culture and religion, are a nation of one."

A Lazy Blackpool Postman Keeps Undelivered Mails At His House's Garage

A Blackpool postman Adam Willis, 23 has been sacked by Royal Mail's Cleveleys Delivery Office due to it's laziness and hiding undelivered post at his garage. He was sentenced to 180 days jail, suspended for two years, ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work for the community and pay £1,262 costs. All of these happened when The Royal Mail investigators paid a visit his home in Ashfield Road due to the complaints received from the pubic. What has surprised them was the undelivered 6,469 items of stored at his garage. After this incidence, all delayed mails in this case has now been delivered.

Blackpool magistrates were told Willis blamed the sheer weight of his mail sacks for making his legs give way and said he kept getting wet because he had no jacket. Willis would sometimes only spend 30 minutes on his round before giving up and going home to hide the mail. Willis admitted delaying 6,469 items of mail between November 7 and December 7 last year. He also admitted opening six letters or parcels and removing DVDs and a CD which were found at his home.

Lily Allen SOS For Depression

The young Lily Allen, at her 22 has been deeply suffering from January miscarriage followed by the split with the soon-to-be father Ed Simons from Chemical Brothers. Recent report has stated that Lily Allen is seeking for professional help at London clinic due to depression.

A friend told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: "The last couple of months have been really hard for Lily. She was so happy to be pregnant and was willing to give up her showbiz life to settle down and have a family.

"Her miscarriage was a huge blow and she hasn't really recovered. She has tried to put on a brave face but she found she needed to get some profession help."

Lily, who recently admitted she feels "sad and lonely", is said to be slowly coming out of her black hole thanks to the treatment.

The pal added: "She is responding well and is pleased she is being allowed to film her TV chat show Lily Allen and Friends and to keep in touch with the friends supporting her."

And to make matters worse, Lily was horrified to find the windows of her new BMW has been smashed while she was at London's Groucho private members club.

The Smile star is adamant paparazzi caused the damage. She wrote on her blog: "It was one of the many paparazzi who were following us who did it. It was a scary situation and I want people to know that it was totally their fault and that the whole situation has angered and upset me."

Natalie Portman Will Only Do Charity Interview?

Natalie Portman claims that she would use her celebrity status for charity interview only.

The actress is convinced that her status will give her extra influence, and she is also keen to use it to help change the world - one interview at a time.

Portman has addressed the U.S. Congress on behalf of her favourite cause - the Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA) - and is determined to continue to use her celebrity status to benefit others.

"I'm not particularly proud that in our country (America), I can get a meeting with a representative more easily than the head of a nonprofit (organization) can," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

The 26-year-old added of her interview plans: "If they're (reporters/paparazzi) going to follow me around and take pictures. I'd rather talk about FINCA than what dress I'm wearing or who I'm dating."

Forgiveness Index For Edison Chen

Forgiveness index which has been conducted by City University in China reported that 3 out of 5 people during interview has said to forgive Edison Chen over his naked and racy sex scandal photos. City University criminology program leader Dennis Wong Sing Wing said 65.2% of the respondents said they would forgive Chen after his official public apology. Only 19% said they would not while 14.3% were still undecided or it did not matter.

"There is no clear difference when you compare the amount of men or women who said they would forgive Chen, both being over 75 percent, while the more educated the respondent, the higher the rate of forgiveness," Wong said.

The survey found people from the media, at 11.6 percent, were the most hated in the community, followed by schoolmates (10.6 percent) and strangers, such as salesmen and insurance agents (9.5 percent). Wong said the dislike for the media was probably because of the way it reported the scandal.

But the poll showed Hong Kong's "hatred index" had dropped from last year's 7.03 to 6.19, which Wong attributed to the economy's uptake.

The "forgiveness index," however, was slightly lower this year at 6.86 compared with last year's 6.92, which Wong said was a sign that people still had to learn to forgive.

He said only tertiary institutes have officially included life education into their curriculums, with primary and secondary schools greatly lacking in such instruction.
