Japanese Battledores

Visitors look at battledores (Hagoita in Japanese) at a market on the grounds of Sensoji Temple in Tokyo's Asakusa district. Characters featured on the battledores include teenage golfer Ryo Ishikawa, "Hanikami Oji" (Bashful Prince), Mongolian Yokozuna Asashoryu and Senichi Hoshino, manager of Japan's baseball team for the 2008Beijing Olympics.
