Cast: Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Ben Foster, Mark Boone Junior, Mark Rendall
Director: David Slade
MPAA Classification: R (Violence, gore, profanity)
U.S. Distributor: Columbia Pictures
Synopsis:
An isolated Alaskan town which is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction. Written by Risin' Outlaw
Review:
The Director is trying on getting vampires back in the thick of the scare business.
The vampires are just like an unstoppable force in the town continuously hunting and killing while the power goes out, phones go down, internet is not available. There is no hope, no Sun, no chance of defense and no mercy. With the disappearance of light, the handful of residents left in the dark become rabbits, helpless scared creatures whose only hope is a quick death. Life is hopeless!
The film goes extremely heavy on the gore such as brutally severed damaged/killed heads in extreme close-ups, blood drips through the snow with bloody stains everywhere. And most of the audience will be too caught up in the next happening. Where are the vampirers coming from? Who will be killed? Who are the next? and Who will be survived?
30 Days of Night brings the gore, with combination of brutal, vicious, and other horrible scenes when you least expect it!!
