The source reported that Edison was shocked and startled when he received deadly threats again this year due to his explicit photos and recent announcement of his plan of comeback such as filming his own movie. The letter was meant to chase him and kill him across the countries no matter where will he be. The deadline for him not to be killed in the letter stated by 1 Apr 09.
He is now rated as special protected entity. Why should i use "entity" for the description? This is because the Hong Kong police immediately tighten their security protection due to the threatening call. There were 200 policemen at the scene before his press conference started.
Do you think somebody really needs to kill him no matter whatever it takes across the countries? It is obviously another lame threats to Edison Chen and i will bet that he will not die so soon. Why? Who bothers to kill a person who has nothing to benefit the social if he is dead and the killer might be caught and sent to the jail in the economic downturn. The sudden increased of security was really too much and that showed the poor deployment and management of important resource in Hong Kong. Will the killers go as according to the plan to kill Edison provided that they know around 200 policemen are waiting for them? I really curious to know how many policeman that Hong Kong has prepared for the city besides 200 policemen they could provide to a notorious artist?
Please! Gillian is one of the victim in the scandal outbreak. She deserves a forgiveness and to be treated equally as what we treat Cecilia Chung who received the fullest support from the society.
The action of taking racy pictures with personal use is not a crime but it becomes a havoc when these pictures or even videos circulated over the borderless region and thousands and millions of netizens started to comment and criticize.
In a year of the incidence, Edison are forced to retire early and flew to Canada for harborage. The courts are taking action agaisnt the criminals of leaking the explicit photos of famous celebrities to internet. The implicated celebrities are suffering still.
Cecilia Chung made the first step to break her silence during the interview in Hong Kong and she won the respect from her husband and the public. Not that i know if there is any complaint made by audience for her appearance in the show.
However, the discrimination and criticism for Gillian Chung are still aggressive and vigorous. Obviously that people out there still cannot forgive her and give her a hard time to make a comeback. She has to be very tough and strong in order to survive in the entertainment industry again. I could only say that, celebrity like her, obviously she was too naive into taking these pictures no matter under what condition provided. Not to forget that people grow with mistakes and they should be given chance to start their life again and stop critize Gillian Chung. Why people can support Cecilia but not Gillian Chung as both are the victims? Something is very wrong with the morale of people nowadays!
Gillian Chung has really a hard time to make her comeback on the screen even after a year after the outbreak of sexual scandal! Just right after the audience saw her appearance on the screen during her interview regarding the Edison Chen's sex scandal on 5th March 09 with "Scoop" show, massive complaint calls have been made and even criticism from Hong Kong citizens. They commented image of Gillian Chung is totally ruined and that she will cause bad impact to youngsters and so instilling bad values into them. She seems to be acted as naive and as silly as a year ago during her appearance in the interview in Hong Kong. She revealed that her relationship with Edison for 4-5 years on and off since their love at the first sight. The reason for her to agree taking those pictures was simple because she was afraid to lose Edison if she refused to do that. When asked if she has worried about if the photos will be leaked one day, she claimed that she was worried but with the assurance from Edison Chen so she let him to take good care of those pictures.
While on the other hand, Cecilia Chung, another implicated actress in the scandal receieved fullest support from fans, family and friends during the interview to comment that Edison Chen is a liar and hypocrite. Nicholase Tze's sister has commented to fully support Cecilia no matter what she has done as she is now part of the family.
It is the same outbreak that involves different women and they attract different treatment from the society. Are we so badly affected by the small portion of extremist that against one of the Twins member because she was the popular idol among most of the youngsters while Cecilia Chung will never attract the youngsters because she was a naughty girl before her marriage?
What can i say? Personally, human is created by God and God will always give chance for them to learn from the mistakes. We make mistakes because we are human. Remember the scandal main actor, Edison Chen? At first, her film in Butterly Lovers replaced by her duo partner. What's more? Her scenes in the film (Mei Lanfang) were all deleted. Gillian's last hope for the comeback by Mei Langfang is ruined once again! As reported, the reason is simply to protect Mei Family's reputation.
Mei Lanfang was a famous Beijing Opera artist and will be played by Leon Lai. Gillian portrayed the character Fu Zhi-Fang in her younger years and is Mei Langfang's second wife. She only appeared for over 5 minutes in the film but now she doesn't even have 1 second. Since the scandal many people have been questioning whether Gillian's scenes would be deleted. That is why all of her scenes are to be deleted. Maybe those scandal pictures were not a big deal to some people, but to the Mei Family it is a very big deal. As a result of searching the news about Edison in April, there was a report of his intention to return to the entertainment industry again after his declaration of quiting from the industry. Apple Daily said that Edison might come to Singapore to film a romantic love movie with Shu Qi. The movie was reported as a collaboration of singapore and american production house. A cool $13.8 million has already been pumped into the movie's funds, according to a report by Lianhe Wanbao.
In the movie, Edison as an American student meets Shu Qi after coming over to Singapore for work, sparking off a cross-country love affair. However, their relationship ceases abruptly due to parental objection from Edison's screen family.
The agent company also disclosed that Chen is going to start shooting this summer. Meanwhile, there are also some other western film producers who have expressed their wishes to cooperate with Edison.

Kwok Chun-wai, a 24-year-old man was arrested and accused for uploading the racy pictures denied and pleaded not guilty to the charge at a court appearance Monday Jun 2, 2008. His trial has been set for next month and Edison Chen is expected to return to Hong Kong to testify in his trail.
The case is dragging too much of time, it should be settled the soonest possible. Praying hard that the nightmare could never be more terrified for the female victims and Edison Chen as well. It must be the hardest time for everyone of them for the last 6 months.
Juno Mak, boyfriend of Gillian was told off by his father because of going out with Gillian Chung, the Hong Kong actress/singer who involved in the nude photo scandal with Edison Chen. Juno made it clear to his dad that he would earn his own living and Gillian had to sell her flat.

There was insider news telling that Gillian Chung (victim from Edison Chen scandal case) will be deleted from the movie "Mei Lan Fang". However, the recent news reported that the statement was a rumour. Gillian plays the young wife of Mei, the late Peking opera master in the movie and the director Chen Kaige will set his movie to hit the screens this December.
The rumour arises as the Gillian's name found absent in the promotional booklet released by China Film Group Corporation. Huang Bin, an assistant of director was saying that the film editing has not been completed and the final decision is still unknown.
I guess Shawn Yue was intentionally to remind public about the biggest scandal case in Hong Kong entertainment industry when he attended a promotional event for Samsung cameras on May 2008. According to the reports, Shawn definitely is the biggest winner from the arch rival Edison Chen as consumer electronics company offered Shawn the contract instead of Edison even since the shameful outbreak.

Forgiveness index which has been conducted by City University in China reported that 3 out of 5 people during interview has said to forgive Edison Chen over his naked and racy sex scandal photos. City University criminology program leader Dennis Wong Sing Wing said 65.2% of the respondents said they would forgive Chen after his official public apology. Only 19% said they would not while 14.3% were still undecided or it did not matter.
"There is no clear difference when you compare the amount of men or women who said they would forgive Chen, both being over 75 percent, while the more educated the respondent, the higher the rate of forgiveness," Wong said.
The survey found people from the media, at 11.6 percent, were the most hated in the community, followed by schoolmates (10.6 percent) and strangers, such as salesmen and insurance agents (9.5 percent). Wong said the dislike for the media was probably because of the way it reported the scandal.
But the poll showed Hong Kong's "hatred index" had dropped from last year's 7.03 to 6.19, which Wong attributed to the economy's uptake.
The "forgiveness index," however, was slightly lower this year at 6.86 compared with last year's 6.92, which Wong said was a sign that people still had to learn to forgive.
He said only tertiary institutes have officially included life education into their curriculums, with primary and secondary schools greatly lacking in such instruction.
Apparently from the statement by Elva Hsiao, one of the rumor as she has involved in Edison's sex photos scandal has proved that she has nothing to do with the scandal. She does not even have the MSN of Edison, except for the phone number and ICQ.
